Grafton Physio & Sport is always looking to find new ways to deliver the latest evidence based therapy and treatments to our Clients, as we challenge ourselves to excel in all areas.
Recently our Senior Exercise Physiologist, Mat Cameron developed an online delivery of program's for young athletes, who are unable to attend the Practice regularly due to their remote location. It is the ongoing commitment of this Practice, that regional elite level athletes are afforded as much opportunity as their city-based competitors.
Every Friday between 7.15 - 7.45 am, our Physiotherapist Balla, teaches and delivers a Tai Chi class free of charge at the Grafton High School Oval. Tai Chi originates from ancient China based on martial arts, but more simply explained, is a form of exercise consisting of slow and continuous movements. Scientific research indicates many physical benefits including reduced risk of falling, improved balance, strength, flexibility and mental health.
It’s easy to learn and open for all – you can follow along behind Balla, according to his verbal directions and physical movements. We have a dedicated group of attendees, but all are welcome and you will find it quite easy to master the moves. We highly encourage all ages and abilities to come along with no obligation at all.
Late last year we created a middle of the day Pilates class specifically designed to cater for women. Led by Shelley, a trained Physiotherapist specialising in Women's Health, we have created a time and place in our gym class, in order that our clients can have open discussion and comfortably address their concerns through Pilates exercises.
We are always looking for new and innovative ways to reach out to the Clarence Valley to keep you on the move so check in with us regularly.
